I am so excited to join Melissa at 320 Sycamore for the 7th annual My Favorite Things! Think “Oprah,” but on a much more realistic scale. These would be great gift ideas, or maybe something you would enjoy as well! Sound like fun? I think so too! Ok, here we go!
1.”The Best Yes” by Lysa Terkeurst.
This book was a game-changer for me this year. Do you have trouble saying no to people? Me too. If you haven’t already, READ THIS BOOK. It will free you up to give others around you your BEST YES! Find it here.
2. Nickel & Suede earrings.
Are these cute or what? Not only are they pretty to look at, they are ultra LIGHT (made of leather!)…and if your ears get tired like mine do, you’ll fall in LOVE with these beauties! They come in tons of color options, but if this will be your first pair, these “gold leaf” earrings are a great neutral that go with everything! Find them here.
3. Porter Lane Home pillows.
Guys. These pillows. I am completely obsessed, and I put one in almost every design project I do…plus my own home is covered with them. 🙂 They are beautiful quality, and there are so many different styles. What a great way to personalize your space! You can find this pillow here, but take a look around Erin’s entire shop…so much goodness! And hey, great gift idea!
4. Magnolia’s new paint line, color: “Gatherings”
This color. It looks a little bit darker on this swatch, but oh my, is it heavenly! I would recommend the satin finish for anything from furniture to walls. So pretty. I mean, are we really surprised that we adore Joanna Gaines’ line of paint? Find it here.
5. Stencils! Love the options from “CuteStencils” on Etsy.
Stencils are a great way to achieve interest on walls, curtains, furniture, pillows, dish towels, you name it! The best part about using them on walls is: uhhhh, where do I begin? It’s less expensive than wallpaper (by a LOT!), its a much lower commitment than wallpaper (hate it? sick of it? paint over it!), and it’s just a fun DIY project! Our upstairs hallway was always a little bland…so one Sunday afternoon, I decided to stencil it! It didn’t take long at all, and I LOVE the result. You can find this darling “swiss cross” stencil here.
6. Anything from Anthropologie. (insert all the heart eyes here)
This is hands-down my FAVORITE place to buy clothing. Always the cutest details, feminine touches, great quality, and amazing shopping experience. Their window displays? Wow. I just want to stand there and admire them every time I visit. The home section always has me digging around for my phone so I can take pictures. Just inspiring. When I was a little girl, I remember my grandma referring to movie stars as “darling.” Then one day she said IIIIIIII looked “darling.” What? That was the best compliment ever (my grandma had the best style, and was always “fancy.” Oh, how I wanted to be like her!) So ya, that’s what I think of when I see something from Anthropologie. DARLING. You can find this cute top here.
7. This topiary (from Wayfair).
It’s so realistic looking, and brings “life” to any space. It’s light, it’s airy, and whyyyyyy are you still reading this? Go order it! ha ha…It’s a little on the spendy side at around $90.00, but so worth it, especially if you’re a plant-killer like me. You can find it here.
8. Donuts. Because, donuts.
I really wanted to put some kind of health food in here to prevent the judging…but who are we kidding? Donuts really should have been my #1. 😉 I’m currently trying to make “better choices”…so ya, this donut is looking AMAZING. (And if this were Oprah, I’d say “BRING OUT THE DONUTS! Donuts for EVERYONE!”)
9. A statement sign from Signs of Serendipity.
My sister, Julie, makes some amazing signs. And the best part? She does custom orders! We collaborated to create this “Gather around” sign for a recent project…and it’s just so much fun to dream with her! Visit her Instagram here.
10. Time with my people.
Can’t write a list of my favorite things without including my VERY favorite thing, and it doesn’t cost a dime. Time with my family.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and checking out My Favorite Things! Be sure to continue on to the next stop on this blog hop…Four Generations One Roof!
